Yelllow Glass Roof

Today our ramble exploring the city of Bucharest took us through Pasajul Macca-Vilacrosse, a pleasing fork-shaped, yellow glass covered arcade built in the mid-19th century and named after the chief architect of the city and his brother-in-law.

This could be Paris. The yellow roof is cheerful and amusing.

We have a similar, smaller arcade here in Derby; but with clear glass, not yellow.

There's some incredible architecture here! The yellow certainly brightens, even on a cloudy day.

You're so creative a photographer! I love that arcade...what a great place to shop, eat, or just people-watch.

What an elegant covering - I think the yellow makes it lovelier than if it were all the regular glass. It must be especially lovely when the sun is shining through.
