Today our ramble exploring the city of Bucharest took us through Pasajul Macca-Vilacrosse, a pleasing fork-shaped, yellow glass covered arcade built in the mid-19th century and named after the chief architect of the city and his brother-in-law.

WOW! How ornate and beautiful! Love the atmosphere the light creates!
This could be Paris. The yellow roof is cheerful and amusing.
Wonderful, Francisca. I'm so glad you got to see this, and to photograph it for us!

I love those glass ceilings! I know someone who will be interested in your Romania pix. I'll send her over.

The glass roof is a fascinating design using the light to create a beautiful glow!
We have a similar, smaller arcade here in Derby; but with clear glass, not yellow.
I love arcades and this one is mightily beautiful.

Very nice. Gee, I want to see that!
Hi there this is my first time joining in with Monday Mosaic and I am now hopping around viewing all the wonderful blogs that join in. I love the glass in the roof.
The yellow glasses makes a special light in the building. Great shots ;-)
There's some incredible architecture here! The yellow certainly brightens, even on a cloudy day.

Gorgeous!
My Mellow Yellow, have a great week.
You're so creative a photographer! I love that arcade...what a great place to shop, eat, or just people-watch.
What an elegant covering - I think the yellow makes it lovelier than if it were all the regular glass. It must be especially lovely when the sun is shining through.

The colored glass really brightens up the arcade...it is a beautiful spot.
Fantastic photos. And especially I like the yellow in the glass roof.
