Hong Kong, 2010
Hong Kong is one of "the big three" - the two others being Chicago and New York City - recognized in architectural circles as having especially compelling skylines. The skyscrapers in Central (the financial district) are, as you can imagine, generally tall - the tallest reported to be 88 floors. Being somewhat prone to vertigo, one of the last jobs I would want in this city is that of window washer.

not something i'd like to do either
Oooh, Francisca, it makes me nervous just to look at the picture. Isn't it wonderful to know there are people in this world who will do the things we're afraid of, don't want to do, or simply can't do? Nice photo.

Not a good job for me either. I'm very afraid of heights! I have been ever since I realized I don't know how to fly. :)
I wouldn't want the job either, but at least you would always know if your hair was in place.
Yikes! That's a great reflection but I'm so glad that's not me up there. :)
But it makes for a wonderfully artistic photo and an unusual reflection. Nice!
I wouldn't want it either! :-)
My knees almost gave out just seeing this photo! I remember the tall buildings in Hong Kong, and like you, I'd never want to have to do that!
You could not, could not, pay me enough!
Great catch - enlarged it is even more stunning with the distortions adding to the vertigo to create just a bit more dis-ease. But that is whelmed by the beauty of it all.
...but perfect for a nice picture!
Great shot.
I used to date a guy that washed windows on high rise buildings. For most of the buildings he sat on a piece of wood suspended from the top.
He took me up to the top of one of the buildings once and had me look straight down the side so I could see what he saw. I am already afraid of heights and that just did me in. LOL!
