[SkyWatch] Vivid Rooftop Skies

Indulge me once more as I share these two skies taken a few months ago. They are as vividly awesome today as they were then.

Bucharest, 2011

My post today is dedicated to Klaus Peter, nature photographer and owner of the wildly popular meme SkyWatch Friday, where he and sky watchers from around the world share their love of the skies. Klaus is with us no more.
"Death is always on the way, but the fact that you don't know when it will arrive seems to take away from the finiteness of life. It's that terrible precision that we hate so much. But because we don't know, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens a certain number of times, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that's so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more. Perhaps not even. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless."

Two beautiful views and a perfect passage to honor the Skywatch founder. Thoughtful and not cliched. Thank you for sharing.

Those rays look like laser beams projected up the sky.

Any idea how Klaus died So sad, he was young than me, which he was too young to die.

Oh Francisca, that first shot is unbelievable! So gorgeous! It looks like the clouds are using spotlights to brighten up the sky.

Your dedication to Mr. Peter is lovely, too. Beautiful words for a fellow skywatcher.
