The skies around here have not been very colorful these past weeks, but perhaps you will enjoy this evening sky over Manila Bay from my archives.
Manila Bay, 2010
While the sun was still bright on the bay, it started to pour rain just outside the condo we were in, leisurely watching the sky entertain us.
Two- and four-wheeled traffic on a wet Roxas Boulevard. This avenue along the bay had/has the natural potential to rival Nice on the French Riviera, but mayor after mayor just doesn't get it.
Other than slight cropping, these images are straight out of the camera. I join the spectacular skies linked at SkyWatch Friday as well as creative reflections at Weekend Reflections.

no matter that they're from archives, they're splendid shots! I especially like that third one. it's oh-so-dreamy. happy SWF Francisca.
Oh, dramatic they are, Francisca!! Love the reflections on the water and the color! Really awesome captures for the day! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Wow..simply Beautiful...love the suns rays streaming down from the clouds
Dramatic pictures. You are so lucky to see a cloud, have some rain.
Wonderful shots. The last two are too good.
I thoroughly enjoyed these skies of my homeland. Thanks for sharing.
Is there more than one Francisca, or does she travel a lot:-)?
I thought it was Rumania.

This is so bautiful! Dramatic sky and gorgeous colors! The second shot is devine!
All are elegant shots!
Such dreamy and magical shots...I would much rather be there than hike in were Buddy is. Sorry the mayors do not get it. The spot is drop dead gorgeous. Hope all is well. 3 days til I am back at school and summer is over. Still have 2 1/2 weeks before I see Bud again. A LONG TIME! Genie
I like the metallic look that summer skies sometimes take on - incredible and so impressive. When they dissipate one wonders if they were actually ever present.
Awesome shots. Perfect as always. Each one has a lot to tell.
Beautiful skies Francisca! They look so mighty with the tiny trees and boats :)
Happy SWF!
Stunning shots. I like the golden hue of the reflections.
I enjoyed these very much. Such beauty!
Beautiful skies. Looks very warm there. ^_^

Fantastic shots as usual Francisca! Do you know that i haven't seen the famous Manila Bay sunset? But the serendipitous thing for us is that our titles for Skywatch Friday both have the word drama! So we both think of our sunsets with drama. I love that. By the way, i log in at 8am here and i am already #117 while you're #4, i bet you linked at 1-2am being nocturnal, as you previously said. LOL.
Definitely has that Côte d'Azure feel to it. A pity the Powers That Be do not see what's in front of them.
Love seeing all...awesome :)
Love the light and sepia tones in the last 2 images!
these are gorgeous shots! i love the hazy, dreamy feel of the 3rd photo.
P.S. re our question--i was in Punta Bulata last March.
Wow - the light and rays are stunning!
great shots
happy SWF

if only we have less corrupt officials and instead be more dedicated with their job and bring out the best in Manila.
beautiful sunset renditions.
captivating!
and yes, we do have one of the most dramatic sunsets here. ^0^
Old or new, that lighting is amazing! The splotch of sunlight in the second photo must have made you so excited when you saw it!
Oops! I forgot to add something. As to your comment at my place about the Santa Ynez valley... The only thing most people know about that valley is Solvang. Don't get me wrong, I like Solvang, but only about every 5 years or so...
Great photos! Most I like the last one :) LG Tina
The first two shots are really impressive : the clouds are marvelous on them... But the all set of picture is so nice to look at ! Thanks for the sharing...
the first photo is my favourite. :)
I love dramatic skies!! and you captured these beautifully
I like the big round sun. How many did you experiment before you got the perfect one?
Beautiful photos with the ships in the fore-ground.
Have a safe and enjoyable week-end.
Such lovely shots these are! I find few things more beautiful than a dramatic sky, and you've captured this one so very well...:)
Very nice photos.
Regards!
Quelle belle série ! Chaque photo avec son caractère ... Bravo !
Gorgeous. Love the big skies, the sepia, the silhouttes.
Your photos are wonderful and the sky is glorious!
Beautiful skies, Francisca! I love the rays shining thru on the first shot. Just lovely, happy skywatching!
Absolutely gorgeous shots! It's one of those posts in which you can't choose a favourite.
The top three remind me vividly of some photos I've seen of that area during WWII! Wow! Impressive.
Very vivid shots!
Is this taken in Manila, Philippines?
