[SkyWatch] Manila Bay Sky Drama

The skies around here have not been very colorful these past weeks, but perhaps you will enjoy this evening sky over Manila Bay from my archives.

Manila Bay, 2010

While the sun was still bright on the bay, it started to pour rain just outside the condo we were in, leisurely watching the sky entertain us.

Two- and four-wheeled traffic on a wet Roxas Boulevard. This avenue along the bay had/has the natural potential to rival Nice on the French Riviera, but mayor after mayor just doesn't get it.

Other than slight cropping, these images are straight out of the camera. I join the spectacular skies linked at SkyWatch Friday as well as creative reflections at Weekend Reflections.

Such dreamy and magical shots...I would much rather be there than hike in were Buddy is. Sorry the mayors do not get it. The spot is drop dead gorgeous. Hope all is well. 3 days til I am back at school and summer is over. Still have 2 1/2 weeks before I see Bud again. A LONG TIME! Genie

I like the metallic look that summer skies sometimes take on - incredible and so impressive. When they dissipate one wonders if they were actually ever present.

Fantastic shots as usual Francisca! Do you know that i haven't seen the famous Manila Bay sunset? But the serendipitous thing for us is that our titles for Skywatch Friday both have the word drama! So we both think of our sunsets with drama. I love that. By the way, i log in at 8am here and i am already #117 while you're #4, i bet you linked at 1-2am being nocturnal, as you previously said. LOL.

Definitely has that Côte d'Azure feel to it. A pity the Powers That Be do not see what's in front of them.

Old or new, that lighting is amazing! The splotch of sunlight in the second photo must have made you so excited when you saw it!

Oops! I forgot to add something. As to your comment at my place about the Santa Ynez valley... The only thing most people know about that valley is Solvang. Don't get me wrong, I like Solvang, but only about every 5 years or so...
