Why did the gazebo cross the road?
To get to the other side?
Philippines, 2010
Hand-crafted bamboo gazebos are popular in the Philippines. Besides offering a cozy space to relax, dine or socialize, they provide shelter from the searing sun or pouring rain. They are found in local cuisine restaurants, resorts and back yards.

That's a great shot of the gazebo.
A lot better than the plastic tent things we get here - and it looks like it travels better too.
To get to the other side! LOL
Love it, and not as heavy as cedar.

The "walking gazebo" is a humorous pic, Francesca!
Gazebos are attractive and practical...even here in Canada.
I like gazebos, though they tend to be stationary here.

Wish I had one in my backyard! Cathy
Now that make me feel homesick. We have gazebos like that and I like to sleep in there. ^_^

a mobile gazebo, were those boys just taking it for fun?
What a cute post!! Love your "joke" with the picture. Gazebos are such nice additions to a yard. Lovely place to sit and relax in the shade. Mickie :)
Portable ~~~fantastic!!!
ha, that made me chuckle and then I noticed the craftsmanship on that gazebo...nice!
Very nice portable gazebos.
Ahhh Ganda for beauty hehehe... I miss the bahay kubo - gazebo.

I just love the idea of a moving gazebo!
Re. the windmill sign: grinding...
Francisca, this is an utterly charming photo. It conveys both a sense of place and of community.
That looks more like a goes-zebo!
Superb! Portable, handy and pretty:)
Wowza! I've never seen a gazebo being carried like that before. But that must mean there are a lot of gazebos there! I love them. So romantic :D
I can imagine the advertisement for these - 'Light, bright and easily transported. Why not have a gazebo-moving party?'
You got me! I was thinking it was some sort of exotic animal, at first. LOL Have a great week!

That's pretty funny watching the gazebo getting pushed along the road. I'm familiar with the word from the Pacific Northwest, where a gazebo is a wooden garden structure, with seating usually. In Florida, we would call your gazebo a 'tiki hut' and they are used in all the ways you describe. (Some of our favorite restaurants are housed in them.)
Nice to have one in a tropical garden :)
Maybe there is a hot tub in there also!
Unique and special looking gazebo! I wouldn't mind having one in the backyard.
