Capitol Reflection

The grand old Hotel Capitol is located on the main Bucharest avenue Calea Victoriei. I posted an image of the 1901 building in full here.

A walk down this road on a different day offered me a nice street shot for Weekend Reflections, Walk in the Street, and Weekend in Black and White.

Reflected, besides the street traffic, is another historic restaurant, now a 61-room hotel, called Casa Capşa, built in 1852.

Another great, dizzying reflection! I would never have imagined this view from the earlier picture.

The b&w and the bikes make it look like the 1920s! Lovely shot!

Francisca, the whole scene in the photo is almost an entire reflective scene. Nice shot!

Fantastic photo, Francisca. (I'm into alliteration today.)
Yes, the black and white image is perfect for this shot!

I like those wonky reflections in the windows. The building that houses the hotel has been around for a century and a half? NEAT!

An excellent shot. The reflections make me a bit dizzy!

Thanks for your visit and kind words. I took the photos 40 years ago with B&W film. I don't own a digital camera. I have four film SLR bodies and a good collection of lenses. I rarely shoot in color now. 99% of my work is done with B&W film that I develop myself.

The b/w is perfect here ;-)

...the ice creams are OK, but not firstclasses. Few years ago "Hjem-Is" was big business, but then all supermarkets began selling ice creams too!

Have a great Sunday!!

Very interesting going back to see the earlier post and comparing it. Both lovely views and so different. This beautiful one really works perfectly with all those memes.
