[SkyWatch] Fading Sun

Another week goes by and it's time for SkyWatch Friday.

This past month we've had a good number of spectacular sunsets in Manila, beautifully captured by some of my fellow SkyWatch bloggers here. A few days ago I thought the sky looked ready to receive the brilliance of another setting sun so I drove out a bit to a spot I knew would give me a good view. Here is a series of images to show you what I saw. [All photos can be enlarged.]

 Manila, 2010

So, where is the glorious sunset, you ask? Pffft. This evening the sun just quietly faded away.  Maybe not spectacular, but still majestic in its unique way. And it certainly did me much good to get away from my monitor for a while.

No matter that the sun didn't put on a dazzling display, Francisca, the way you captured those clouds is dazzling enough!

Oh, I do so agree with Christine! The sun may have not have put on much of a show, but your capture of the clouds as they move and change is terrific! I love it! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Francisca!
Enjoy!

I kinda' like the silvery grays. And I have to laugh at "getting away from the monitor." Sometimes it seems like I have to leave it to take pictures so that I'll have some more reasons to sit at it and post ;>)

lovely captures. They are majestic :)
My sunrises always managed to kick me out of bed, I can't resist the urge to get my camera and shot - sleeping with my curtains close isn't an option ;)

have a fantastic weekend.

cheers from Uruguay

I like these a lot, Francisca! Maybe because they remind me of Florida...they could have been taken near Cedar Key, for example.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Melkein on kuvat sellaisia kuin täällä Suomessa Porin Yyterissä kesällä, sieltä vaan puuttuu tuo piikkilanka.Näin blogien katselulla on kiva tutustua muiden maiden kulttuuriin ja ihmisiin. Tule sinäkin katsomaan Teuvon kuvat blogi ja kerro myös kaikille sinun kavereillesi miksi kannattaa käydä katsomassa Teuvon kuvat blogi. Samalla saadaan teidän maanne lippu nousemaan korkeammalle minun blogissa. Jouluterveisn Teuvo vehkalahti Finland
