Ilocos, 2010
The coastline of the northern tip of Luzon province in the Philippines is a sight to behold. I sat on that makeshift log bench (better seen when photo is enlarged) for quite a while to watch the waves roll in and feel the cool wind brush against my skin.
This joins the shadow chasers at Shadow Shot Sunday, as well as lovers of photogenic scenes at Scenic Sunday.

I am glad the wind was cool, as that tree doesn't seem to be providing a whole lot of shade!
This is nicely framed.
Crikey, it's raining post and buckets here, it's windy, cold and feels like November... This is such a lovely sight!
I love this shot. So very well composed. :)
This is just nice. Looks so cool & crisp. Here is my Shadow Shot. See you around!
Really wonderful shadows here!! :)
What a beautiful place and beach and I love your shadow shot, Francisca! Would to be able to spend some time there! Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend!!

It feels like you are "home" and glad to be there! What a beautiful spot.
What a lovely photo of a wonderful place. Would have liked to have been there with you.
I would be happy to be sitting there in the shade of that tree, gazing out to sea.
TALKING SHADOWS?
Imagine a shadow could talk
In whisper or rumble or squawk;
Just what would it say
To make you go, “Hey!
You’re just a chip off the old block!”?

Shadows abound here and here
What a beautiful place to sit, Francisca, and the tree shadows are lovely.
Of course I'm immediately homesick for "our" part of the Pacific, even though I've just visited recently. That driftwood log bench could easily have been made on your Sunshine Coast or my Semiahmoo Bay, couldn't it? But the waves look a little too hearty for our protected waters.
Delightful photo.

Hey Francisca, settled again here? or maybe already somewhere else again! That photo is very serene and nostalgic, it did not give the icky feeling of the humidity which only us can see through a photo!
Very good photography.
Wonderful cadre.
Regards!
Behold!!! A land treasure of beauty....like a piece of heaven on earth. Well done.
My shadow this week is of a horn cleat [what you use to tie up a boat at the dock]

Hope your weekend has treated you well.
What a beautiful location! I'd do the same as you and sit and enjoy that amazing view for as long as I could! How lucky you are!
That's a beautiful place. Wonderful to sit there and watch and enjoy. Great photo, full of this atmosphere.
Beautiful scene! The branches all spread out in the shadows are fabulous. And I think you had the best seat around :D
Reminds me of the Oregon coast.
This i very beautiful, Francisca.
What a beautiful spot!
Greetings from Finland. This, through a blog is a great get to know other countries and their people, nature and culture. Come take a look Teuvo images and blog to tell all your friends that your country flag will stand up to my collection of flag higher. Sincerely, Teuvo Vehkalahti Finland.
A beautiful spot to just be, sigh...
Beautiful shadowy photo, make me miss home!
My shadows, hope you can visit and see. Have a great week ahead!
I can imagine you sitting there on the tree-bench, staring out at the ocean with the breeze against your cheek. the day I turned 40 that was one of the things I noticed - a breeze against my cheek, and I'll always remember that day because of it. thanks for sharing Francisca. I hope your week ahead is full of fun.
Looks such a lovely spot to rest awhile and get your thoughts in order.
The best example of nature. The branches all spread out in the shadows are fabulous. And I think you had the best seat around.
Look at those islets! Wonderfully composed shot!
Pagudpud? Yes, that truly is one place in the Philippines that I like best. Not so crowded, unlike the other popular beaches there.
I came across your blog through Scenic Sunday, browsed a little and found this one. I admit, your blogs appealed to me.
I was born in Bolinao, Pangasinan (lots of beaches there too), then moved to Baguio City, and now am living here in Sweden.
I'm glad I found your blog. Best regards.
