Settled in pre-Roman times, Tulln an der Donau (Tulln on the Danube) is one of the oldest towns in Austria. It's nicknamed Blumenstadt (city of flowers) and I had the terrific good fortune to travel to it some weeks ago when the tantalizing tulips - among other flowers - were in full spring bloom.

Love tulips.
The tulips are simply gorgeous. You captured the colors wonderfully. The Town looks like a fascinating place to visit.
I've been having trouble commenting on peoples blogs. Lets hope this goes through.

Wonderful, colorful photos.
Beautiful tulips! I miss them; no "usual" spring flowers here in Florida. Doubt if there will be any left by the time we get away.
Terrific tulips! Love this post...
Oh, so wonderful, Francisca. I love the first photo, and the yellow tulip with the red stripes, posing alone in front of an audience of pansies.

Beautiful photographs, I love tulips. I discovered though tulips are associated with The Netherlands, commercial cultivation of them began in the Ottoman Empire and they have become the symbol of modern day Turkey
Lovely flowers :-) :-h !
Oh my goodness, I can't believe all the different types of tulips. The shapes and colors are fantastic.
Wow! Obviously they don't have deer there that treat tulips like a salad bar! Stunning colors!
Gorgeous flowers. The colors are amazing.
I'm impressed by the variety of tulips they planted.
Looks like Amsterdam, lol ! That's what I get when my son comes from there !
I LOVE the many varieties of tulips growing there.
Gorgeous tulips, Francisca! I didn't realize there were so many different types of tulips now...like the fact that they have so many petals! The yellow one with the red stripes is my favorite. Makes a statement :D
I love your tulip pics they are so pretty - I visited Austria a few years back and saw the alpine flowers in the mountains - something most certainly to remember
Truly lovely Tulips Francisca!
