[SkyWatch] Washing the Skyscraper

Manila, 2011

Last week I had an errand to run in Makati, our financial district, and I spotted these window washers on this glass skyscraper. It's not the first time I tell you it's a job I couldn't do, but neither could I resist the shot. It still fascinates me.

Besides, it was one of the rare times I saw anything but gray in our skies these past weeks.

So here it is, for SkyWatch Friday and Weekend Reflections.

  11. Oh my goodness, I didn't pay any attention to the title, so my stomach lurched when I saw the photos. Heights and I do not mix, except from planes.
    Wonderful for SkyWatch, though, Francisca!

  36. Oh my gosh. My heart is in my throat just looking at the pictures. I can't imagine doing that.

    Hooray for blue skies.

I read your previous post more carefully and it is disheartening to know that shortsighted governments are everywhere. So sad. In addition to cutting music, library, drama, and art, schools around here have cut the vocational programs that kept many (non-college-bound) kids in school and provided them the means to make a living. And then they wonder why there is so much crime ..... and on and on we go.

  37. Skyscrapers always fascinate me. They are just so picturesque. Love how you caught the window cleaner in your photo. THAT is something I never want to do...especially while we're still shakin ;D

  39. Love your perspective here. I don't think they could pay me enough to do this job!
