A potted palm casting its shadow in our lanai (veranda). The organic shape of the leaves in contrast to the geometric lines of the house appeals to me.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shadow! I really like shadows like this in black and white. I've been taking some late afternoon photos of shadows myself. Now I just need to find time to make them black and white. :)

I'm always a sucker for photos of light and shadows. This one is excellent!! It is especially effective for being black and white (which is a setting I think I should experiment with much more!)
ReplyDeleteWell done, good shot!!!
ReplyDeleteA truly superb shadow shot, Cisca! For me it is a classic! I love the sharp shadows of the plant and the softer ones of of the house! Happy SSS! Enjoy your weekend!

This has a lot of impact - simple but atmospheric - a great B&W choice.
ReplyDeleteI like the way the shadow takes up more space in the shot than the actual plant does - your eye is drawn down towards the bottom of the photo and then back up to look at the plant.
ReplyDeleteNice shadows. A great capture, Francisca.
