After a hard week's work my eyes craved to look at something pretty. So I collected a series of yellow blossoms I captured on my walks to and back from the office I occupy here in Wuchuan this spring.
As usual, I haven't a clue what these plants and trees are called. I'll stick my neck out and guess that the first are watermelon blossoms. Am I right?

Whatever they are, they're gorgeous. Glad you took a break from work to capture them, and wonderful to see your photos again.

Yellow photographs so well, doesn't it? I particularly like the close-up of the single blossom in the middle of the medley.
I'm afraid I can't help you with identifying the plant, but they are beautiful. I really like the first shot with the juxtaposition of the yellow painted metal.
Could be some kind of squash at the top there. The bottom looks like bougainvillea.
I have no idea what they are! I do know that they are pretty though...
The Yellow Blossoms in Wuchan sounds like the perfect title for a novel.
Hello Francisca, how are you? How do you compare rainy seasons in different countries, we have an impending typhoon now! I know which group of plants the first 3 are included, yes that 1st is one of the cucurbits, watermelon or rockmelon or honeydew. 2nd is in Malvaceae family maybe an abutilon, and 3rd can be in our Makopa family, 3rd-not familiar in the tropics.
PS, your FFF lind opens to Mellow yellow site, but i can't find your link there.
Sheer magic and cheer, yellow spreads warmth!
All lovely whatever they may be.
Lovely blossoms, whatever they are!

wonderful flowers! xiexie :)
I love flowers too and I love to photograph them, even if I'm not so skilled in macros. Next year, after my retirement, I plan to start a new blog, of photography, and there will be a lot of flowers there!
Fascinating interesting flowers!
I really like that yellow hibiscus (I think that's what it might be). I had one once but it wasn't hardy enough to survive here
Lovely! The blooms in the middle are my favourites. Awesome!
Wonderful share. I love yellow flowers best of all. They always make me feel happy.
