According to this list, there are 20 bridges crossing the Danube in the city limits of Vienna alone. Did I catch half of them in this shot I took this evening from Kahlenberg minutes before the sun said goodbye for the day?
WOW! And I thought London had a lot. This these take the record. It is such an interesting shot for from this perspective you can see all of them. Great capture.I find it fascinating that the island of land goes gown the center.
Great shot. I like your Danube post. The Danube is a fantastic river. Yes, like Ann says, a river of dreams.
We walked from Passau (Germany) to Budapest (Hungary) the Donauradweg (Danube Bike Trail) and continued this way cycling to the Black Sea. And beside the remote and more natural areas, coming to Vienna and Budapest was quite an experience.
Yes you have covered more than half of them! Last week before the holidays you were still in Romania, after the holidays you are already in Vienna! Oh how so lovely to be travelling a lot, really my envy!

Wow. There seems to be lots of options! That should help with traffic congestion.
Pretty soon there will be that many across the Fraser, in the Lower Mainland alone. LOL

And no two alike, I'm assuming?!
That really is a lot of bridges, especially one after another! Our river winds so much that that could never be done.

So this is Danube. I've heard it but never saw it. Thanks for sharing it. Are you in Austria for good, Francisca?
I got another song for you. I was 14, and in the junior school choir in our musical, the Gypsy baron.
We sang, Danube River of dreams, Danube river of dreams.
Thanks for memories.

Very nice view, that's a lot of bridges across a short section of river!
That's a lot of bridges.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
There's no shortage of bridges in this photo.
Thanks Francisca. Now I posted a Sunday Bridge from the Danube.
The sun's reflecting light makes this quite an image.
What a fine view of the river. All those bridges make me suspicious that Austrians are as fond of their cars as North Americans!
Wow -- that is weekend bridges times 10! Lovely misty shot and goodness there are a lot.

Whoa! It's as if all the bridges gathered there just for you! ;D
Happy Easter to you, Francisca!
Wow - that is a lovely sight!
Very interesting! I hope they are in good repair and last a long time!
I'm sure it's the first time I see this perspective!
