Before you go any further, unless you're in a rush or dislike music, right click HERE to open a new tab, crank up your speakers and start listening to this great Joe Cocker rendition of Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me. I'm listening now as I write. When Joe starts singing, come on back to this tab and enjoy the skies I saw earlier tonight from a second-floor window.
These skies are not going to break your bank of superlatives, but the soft colors really appeal to me. Maybe one day I will decorate a room in this palette. Can you see it? Pretty, isn't it?
Manila, 2011
And something else I can tell you. I live in the tropics and our seasonal changes are a bit lame compared to what you may experience. But today I really noticed how bare many of our trees are. That's about the extent of our winter.
These photos are SOOC except for a bit of cropping, downsizing and adding my copyright.

Beautiful palate, Francisca. I think these colours would make a soothing, restful room.

These skies formations are amazing. Love the silvery look.
My entry is here
I love the song and Joe Cocker, to begin with, and the song has long been a favorite!! Fun to listen to this version. Of course I love your photos with your moody, but beautiful skies! Terrific captures as always, Francisca! I do hope you have a great weekend!

If I could crop more the bare trees, the twigs intertwined look like a wire fence.
Nice soothing colors of the skies!
I'm very fond of the light that creates these colours in the sky.

Great captures of the moment, I like the silver-gold tinge in the BG.

Twigs & Gray Sky
Delightfully gentle skies. Skies don't need to be spectacular to be satisfying.

I love skies like these. These shos remind me of plesant sunset walks.
What wonderful soft colours.
About being in Changsha ... I was there 1984-87 so definitely not a congenial place. In fact, for most of my students, I was the first foreigner they had ever seen. My students were lovely, but the authorities did NOT like us foreigners and life was difficult.
Just beautiful!
I see what you mean about the palette for a room. You would need to rely more on the slightly paler colours with highlights of the darker, but I think it could look tasteful and relaxing.
Gorgeous sky, love the contrasts!
