Up, Up and Awaaaay!

Split, 2009

Okay, so I'm not really going up in a balloon, but I am boarding a plane in a few days to go work on a project in Europe. I expect that my blogging over the next months is going to be much more sporadic than it has been. Just a heads up for anyone who may miss me. I know I'll miss you.

And this is linked to My World Tuesday and Ruby Tuesday.

  2. I'll miss you for sure, Francisca! But I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Regarding the Foster Memorial: I so agree with you. Foster was a wealthy man and I'm quite certain he had a HUGE ego to match his money. To think he could afford that memorial to himself during the Great Depression, too! The saving grace for me is that the building is now used for public concerts.

  4. We're leaving for Europe in two weeks. Doubt if we'll run into you, but we do plan to meet a few bloggers here and there.
Beautiful balloons - the song is perfect - I like the Dalmation one, and one looks like a blue zebra. Very interesting.
Bon voyage, vaya con dios, and all the best. I'll miss you but I know you'll have photos when you get back. (I'm taking my little laptop with me, so we can keep in touch with family and friends, and so I can post a blog or two.)

  8. I do hope you have a fantastic trip, but your will be missed! Look forward to hearing all about it when you can and have time to tell us about it. As for me, there are a few changes possible over the next few months and I'm not exactly what the answers are, but they come. It's mostly just been the gray, cold, gloomy weather! Enjoy your week!

  18. You will be missed for you provide some of us with such beautiful and unique pictures of an exotic part of the world.

But you'll have a grand time, I'm sure and perhaps can post a picture from wherever in Europe you happen to be from time to time.

Re barber poles: It's funny, but virtually every little town we were in in Colorado had a barber shop with a barber pole...the red stripe, of course, signifying blood - and that the barber/doctor was in...
