Bicycles aren't as popular as they once were in China. But my guess is that bicycling as a sport, or even as a prefered form of transportation, will catch on here eventually like it has in the West in recent years.
Myself, I like riding, if the way is not overly strenuous, but I haven't really done it as often as I'd like. And you?
Joining Weekend Reflections.
tres reussie bravo ;o)
ReplyDeleteOne of the best parts of summer in the Midwest is warm bicylce-weather. An old Schwinn is all I have and all I need.
ReplyDeleteIt has been quite wet here in the UK this summer and looking to get wetter over the next few days.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a while to work out that your photo was upside down. Very effective though!
This is an excellent reflection! I've tried and failed more than once to capture one like this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific reflection!! I love this one! How clever you are! Hope you have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Fantastic reflection! Upside down totally works for this photo.
ReplyDeleteWhere we live now is VERY hilly. Before we moved here, my wife and I had a goal of at least 100 miles a week on our bikes. It hasn't happened in quite a while though...
Wow, excellent reflection, Francesca! I used to bike to work in Holland, but here in the L.A. area it's too much of a hassle (and risky- the cars don't know what to do with bikes here!)
ReplyDeleteexcellent photo.. We are bit over the rain down here, I just wish for a sunny windy day to get the washing dry...
ReplyDeletegreat reflection!
ReplyDeleteHere in Indiana we need rain.
A clever capture. Since you ask - I sold my 10 speed bike several years ago, after finally realising my sense of adventure on a bike (not being one to take things slowly!) could lead to some memorable injuries! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteFunny you should mention it. I'm seriously planning to get a fat tire bike to run errands rather than use my car. Your reflection is terrific. The biker looks like he's rising from the water.
ReplyDeleteIt's rain a lot here as well, but nothing compares to this situation.
ReplyDeleteDramatic shot dear Francisca, congratulations, it's very interesting indeed!
Hugs and a nice Sunday
Léia
oh my goodness! what a shot!
ReplyDeleteA very skilled photo, Francesca! I haven't ride a bicycle in ages!
ReplyDeleteLove this shot. So creative!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely hysterical! What a great capture.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness - so much water. That is an amazing shot!
ReplyDeleteLOVE love love this photo Cisca. Sorry about all the rain, but this capture perhaps made some of it worth it. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteWhen i first went to China, i was so amused seeing the flock of bicycles with their own traffic signal at the intersections. And there's really a lot, as in a lot! It was amazing.
ReplyDeleteI thought I would become an avid bike rider living here in Wisconsin, but my knees don't like the hills....another reason to buy a horse! (o:
ReplyDeleteI live on a hill - 'nuff said :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic capture!
ReplyDeleteI dream of riding bicycle, maybe in my next life..
Good shot! I used to cycle a lot when in Holland, where dedicated bike paths made it easy. Here it is quite dangerous to cycle in the traffic.
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a shot, Francisca!
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot. Love the reflection. If gas prices do not go down the whole world will be cycling more before long.
ReplyDeleteAfraid I am always playing catch up these days. Thank you for all your recent visits to my site.
