This florid fallen-in farmhouse near Sibiel was my favorite homestead in Transylvania. I found it on our foray through the fabulous old villages I posted a few months ago.

Check out the other fantastic F posts linked to ABC Wednesday.
oh this would be a favorite of mine too!!! I love the splash of color someone provided. it has such humble beauty, this old farmhouse. happy Tuesday to you Francisca!
Oh my, I think I would have worn my camera out photographing this house. It looks like a Hansel and Gretel fairytale. Your pictures always fascinate me, Francisca.
Ditto Roger...thought the second was a painting and was going to ask if you'd done it. This house looks like it has such character and makes one wonder about its past history and who lived there and what life was like. Fantastic post, Francisca, and have a fabulous week,

How interesting! It looks like the house and barn are attached. I wonder when it was abandoned as a home. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteA legitimate work of art, the second one.

ReplyDeleteFirst Grade's Fees is what I have for ABC this week.
Just the kind of place I like to photograph. Although in a state of decay its character still shines through.
ReplyDeleteHi Francisca, those windows remind me of the colors in Solo, Indonesia, where portals be it windows or doors are all colored vividly and attractive.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place and that window photo is to die for!!
ReplyDeleteYour close up has a wonderful level of abstraction. It really could be on a canvas. Sharp observation.
ReplyDeleteThat second photo looks like a pair of eyes!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors.
Those windows are a work of art. I had to enlarge the photo to check that they hadn't just been painted on the building!
ReplyDeleteIf modernized, I would move in right away !
