Whoa. A road bridge! There's a concept. Don't remember any of these from my one and only trip to Romania. But then again, that was in the days of Ceausescu.
Wonderful idea. Why hasn't British Columbia thought of these? The sea-to-sky highway to Whistler, for instance. Of course, the people with waterfront homes on the way up the coast might be a bit ticked off. LOL — K

I have never thought of a bridge going around instead of straight from Point A to Point B. This one is so interesting, and the mountains are pretty impressive. Where there is a will there is a way!
This looks so odd, but I guess it is better (and maybe cheaper) than blasting through the rock.

ReplyDeleteIt's superb, hope I'll find it in July!

ReplyDeleteA clever solution, and a great photo!
ReplyDeleteI think I like this solution better.
ReplyDeleteit looks so small against those mountains!
ReplyDeleteVery cool, Francisca! I don't think I've seen a bridge like this that follows the land instead of on it! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a very spectacular bridge, and it must have been a hell of a job to build it! The surroundings are gorgeous, Francisca! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to visualize the crew building this. Just driving on it would be quite an adventure. I'm glad they didn't have to go through the mountain.
ReplyDeleteI like the angle you were able to get on this, a great view of the causeway.
ReplyDeleteRather unusual but very striking and a beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, wouldn't mind a drive along that scenic route...
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to see what the countryside is like. The name "Carpathian" sounds so exotic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a scenery!
ReplyDeleteI hope the river never floods!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool!
