C is for Clock

These are three of the ten public clocks commissioned by the city council of Bucharest at a cost of nearly Euro 100K each as part of their plan to revitalize the city center.

 Bucharest, 2011

C is the letter of the week at Jennie's Alphabe-Thursday.

  1. They're beautiful, Francisca. The price seems a little high, but I know nothing about public clocks. A very lovely choice for the letter C.

  5. Very nice photos and I guess 100 K Euros is a lot! I'm wondering how much it would be in American dollars. Those sure are fancy, but beautiful clocks.

  6. I especially love the first one, but 100,000 euros each? Eek.

Hello, Francisca! Hope you are well.

  7. Does their cost mean they are well made and will last for a long time.

  14. It's an interesting way of revitalising a city and they all have Roman numerals. I suppose that's a classier look, really:-)

  16. They are beautiful clocks but I do think Bucharest have many other areas that could do with €300k. Not sure that was a wise decision on their part

  18. I like the clocks...but 100K Euros per tick-tock sounds a bit excessive...perhaps they are quality clocks and quality does not come cheap?

Now, it's time for me to go...
