They're both attractive. The first I like best in the short term because it's more exciting, the second would be easier to live with longer-term because it's calm.
My instinct is to go with the first one, but I too want to turn it sideways and make a Rorschach out of it. The second one is just beautiful and serene, so I vote for that one. About your comment on my blog, I loved the book Blue Highways too, both my husbnd and I read it a long time ago. One of my favorite Blue Highway experiences came in Kentucky. We were driving down the road and I asked my husband what was blocking our way in the distance. Turned out to be a dog nursing her puppies. Eventually they got up and walked away. The Blue Highways bring you closer to the people and the reality of the place you are driving through. Of course, from the photos you are sharing, I'm not telling you anything new! I love your blog.
The zoomed in one is my favourite. Oh so lovely!
ReplyDeleteFor reflection, the first one is my favorite: the symetry is perfect!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The water is so still it's like a mirror! Terrific capture, Francisca! Hope you have a great weekend!

Beautiful colours and great capture !
ReplyDeleteThose trees give such a geometrical touch to your picture... It is very impressive, thanks for this inspired sharing...
ReplyDeleteI think I like the first the best. Happy weekend!

Have a nice weekend*******
Francisca, you're everywhere, but BC's Sunshine Coast? A lovely spot in my home province. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteKay,
now living in Alberta
I like them both but I think the second just wins. The first is more of an abstract - I want to put it vertical to make a tree!
ReplyDeleteTerrific reflections, I just could turn my screen around and see the pictures from the other side !
ReplyDeleteBoth are superb! Can't say which I like more:)
ReplyDeleteWonderful reflections. Enjoy your weekend.☺
ReplyDeleteLove the first photo. It's like the trees are shooting out from the picture.
ReplyDeleteLovely - both of them. I like the bottom one better in general with the shape of the forest in the frame plus the foreground.
ReplyDeleteBut the first one is like a mirrow image...
Happy weekend, Ev
This one is tough..... I think I prefer the second one.
ReplyDeleteThe first one makes me think of an elaborate Rorschach.

ReplyDeleteHard to choose but I guess the closer shot is more powerful. It's a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteI love the first one, it takes me to another universe...
ReplyDeletebeautiful both of them.
U inspired me, so I posted some reflections too ;)

Great photos. Can't decide which we favor; each has its own distinct beauty and appeal.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth : )
O such gorgeous reflections
ReplyDeleteI pick the first one. It looks like a coarse web!
ReplyDeleteAs the first photo reminds me of the 10,000 piece puzzle we finished when I was little, I'd have to say I like that one! Beautiful reflection :D
