Hardworking Hands

Guizhou, 2006

This silversmith, creating exquisite silver accessories to be worn by Miao minority women in Guizhou, has his own clever way to "mass produce" his handiwork.

  2. Ciao Francisca, wonderful! I love manual work, where everything is unique and not mass-produced, too bad that few people have them!

  3. It must be expensive for this smith to work with silver, or?

  5. I've never watched a silversmith work, but I used to hang out drinking coffee in the back of a goldsmith's shop annoying my friend who owned it, and it can be very dangerous work.
    Super picture, Francisca, of course.

  8. The human mind can be so agile and creative...if it's allowed the freedom it needs...
