Little Princess in Red

She's all dressed up to visit the mosque, this little princess in red.

Delhi, 2010

Okay, maybe her dress is closer to orange, but let's not quibble this season to be jolly, okay? I still think she's a gem and I'm linking with Mary's Ruby Tuesday.

Chain of Love

For Today's Flower I present you the pretty cadena de amor... or chain of love, aka coral vine. It's a climbing vine with clusters of small pink flowers and heart-shaped leaves that is amply found here in the Philippines.

Its scientific name is Antigonon Leptopus.

Manila, 2010

This montage, which can be enlarged, is linked to Mosaic Monday.

Eagle

I'm not a trained nature photographer, so I must admit I was rather pleased with my capture of this eagle in Beautiful BC.

Tofino, 2006

Sharing this with Camera Critters where you'll find links to all kinds of "captured" animals... only with a camera, of course.

[SkyWatch] Fading Sun

Another week goes by and it's time for SkyWatch Friday.

This past month we've had a good number of spectacular sunsets in Manila, beautifully captured by some of my fellow SkyWatch bloggers here. A few days ago I thought the sky looked ready to receive the brilliance of another setting sun so I drove out a bit to a spot I knew would give me a good view. Here is a series of images to show you what I saw. [All photos can be enlarged.]

So, where is the glorious sunset, you ask? Pffft. This evening the sun just quietly faded away.  Maybe not spectacular, but still majestic in its unique way. And it certainly did me much good to get away from my monitor for a while.

J is for Juice

What's your favorite freshly squeezed fruit juice?

Delhi, 2010

You're sure to get it here at this colorful juice stand.

And J is the letter at Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday.

Mine is yellow mango. Or maybe grapefruit. Hmmm...

T is for Temple

This is a rather typical Chinese style Buddhist temple located on the Coastal Road on Manila Bay. Does anyone know its name besides just Chinese Temple?

Manila, 2010

It's up to the letter T over at ABC Wednesday today.
