Cebu, 2011
As my small tribute to Earth Day 2012 (yesterday, April 22) I post this mural found on a public wall in Cebu. The future is ours to choose, indeed.
It's my second mural from the Visayas region of the Philippines. I provided some background information on my first post here.

I like the artwork and the message.

The mural has a good message but it won't work. Now of days people are so divided.
ReplyDeleteA very nice mural...but sad to see the graffiti on it.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I love the way it was painted. And true words!
ReplyDeleteA very pretty mural and I like the sentiment! :)
ReplyDeleteAn interesting image to contemplate the idea of free will. Do you think the woman is pregnant with possibility? The theme is something to think about. I went back and read your link and like the way it oriented me to the geography related to your Visayas series. I'm surprised at the tagging, since there is a code that seems to be honored in most places, that one does not tag over a mural. Sigh. Thanks, Francisca, for sharing this with us and participating in this week's meme.
ReplyDeleteWonderful words and a beautiful mural. Yes, too bad someone had to try to ruin it.

Quite lovely but too bad about the tagging!
ReplyDeletevery very nice. happy earth day.
ReplyDeleteLovely mural. Pity about the defacement by the taggers...
ReplyDeleteI may be being too literal here. I was thinking that the mural had both religious and pro-choice messages at the same time.
ReplyDeletewise words and beautiful talent....
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely stunning message. Really makes you think.
ReplyDeleteSigh, for the graffiti. Its very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA very poetic message.
A great message! Too bad some idiot had to tag on it.
ReplyDeleteThe plants next to the mural add so much to the photo!
