Renovation Signs

According to economists, Romania was hard hit by the global crisis and joins so many in the struggle to emerge from one of its worst recessions on record. Nonetheless, as I walk around Bucharest, I see plenty of construction and renovation projects going on. That's a good sign.

What I have not seen before anywhere are the tarpaulin scaffolding covers  with images of the project when it is completed. Here are a couple I've recently captured.

    I have never seen this, either, but I think it is a wonderful idea. You do not see all the mess on the other side, and the workers do not have the glare form the outside. Plus, these tarps are actually attractive.

    I also take photos of construction sites, just dont post them. Flowers and plants take the first priority. Re-your comment in my site: Francisca - you should grow Vanda instead of Epidendrum.     this is interesting. a net is usually used here. this buildings look like of the buildings here in Manila.

    They are all the rage here, often with ads on them as well. I'm sure Romania benefits from lots of European funds to help it along the way.

    I saw these drapes in Rome, but now I can't remember if they had the finished building on them or some of Rome's famous artwork. I actually like seeing the construction, so either way is fine with me.

    That's a great idea! Guess we haven't been hanging around enough big cities lately, as I haven't seen those at all (or else, and sadly even more likely, we're usually in an area that is still depressed. Bill really enjoys watching construction projects, so if there were any tarps like that around here, we'd have seen them!

    I've seen those tarps in different cities, but only on the first or second level...not up high like that.

    I was just kidding you about staying in the hotel, but I'm glad you found a nice place close to your job!
