A spectacular world of stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by thousands of years of erosion and carbonate deposits.

The clear colorful reflection in this pool joins the community at James' Weekend Reflections.
But I'm not so very fond of caves, really. Are you?
Those colors are really impressive, and the reflection is stunning ! I'm speechless !
ReplyDeleteOh, what an awesome capture, Francisca!! I love the brilliant colors!! Truly breathtaking! I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Yes, I like them a lot as long as I can maneuver around. I'm not into crawling on my belly like a snake any more. This reminds me to look for some pix from Arizona caves. I can't remember if they came out at all.
ReplyDeleteI go batty in caves! But it might be worth it to get a shot like this one. Superb colors and reflection. It must be embiggened, though, to get the full effect.
ReplyDeleteHope your computer problems are solved by now. Computers can be so frustrating.
We remain in the west. Denise improves daily. But I've been really sick and it doesn't look good for the others; still, we hope to make it home next week.
Thanks for your concern and good thoughts.
A spectacular array of colours indeed! A magical world!
ReplyDeleteI would have been captivated by that as a child - well, I still am. It speaks of magical kingdoms and mystical creatures. The cave formations themselves are fascinating but they sure know how to light them to good effect.
ReplyDeleteThose colors are spectacular :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Argentina
Wow, Francisca. It's stunning. Like Pandora's Box.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think you were very brave to go into a cave. I'm very claustrophobic and the idea of caves just makes my skin crawl, no matter how big they are. Otherwise, I'm a perfectly normal person. Oh, except for my fear of heights.
Sigh.

No words for this.
ReplyDeleteWow! If I could get in easily and out quickly, I would love to see this in person. But definitely, no, I'm not overly fond of caves.
ReplyDeleteJust last month we toured a smaller cave here in Wisconsin, The Cave of the Mounds. Amazing what is beneath our feet. There was one place I felt a little spooked by, too narrow for my liking, but the formations ahead kept me moving. This photo is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow! Great reflection and magnificient colours!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing;o)

Have a wonderful weekend****
Ps: Thank you for your nice comment in my blog. About the prison, I feel sad too that it will be destroyed instead of being used for social purposes!
Very beautiful, Francisca. How do they do that? Going to have to take up spelunking if this is the kind of stuff one finds in caves.
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with caves as long as I know I can get out! :) Great colors!
ReplyDeleteLovely colors! I like caves, but I don't have good captured...why? I'm a bit scared :0
ReplyDeleteCaves are so mystical! I love your shot, Francisca! But I'm know for sure I wouldn't want to be stuck in one ;-)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely glorious! The colours are unbelievable. I only like the caves I can get into and out of easily - no pot-holing for me!
ReplyDeleteThat is WILD!
ReplyDeleteNot really fond either, but I like this one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful (so much color in such a dark place). I'd never go into a cave unguided. But I've enjoyed the caving tours we've taken at the National Parks. (Carlsbad Caverns was our favorite.)
ReplyDeleteI would prefer not so many colours on the cave but the effect on this photo is just great.
