Dapitan, 2008
Dapitan City sits on the northwestern coast of the southern Philippine island of Mindanao in the province of Zamboanga del Norte. This footbridge in the tropics crosses one of a number of rivers and tributaries in and around the city; I can't name it for you.
Posted for Sunday Bridges and Scenic Sunday.
Oooh, I'm glad I never have to cross a suspension bridge. They terrify me, but I guess if I started at a very young age like this little fellow, I might be used to it by now.
ReplyDeleteSuper photo, Francisca!!
Kay, Alberta
Aw, I like them both. Oh, and the bridge too.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I love bridges like that, I'd want to walk across it several times, and take lots of photos from different angles.
ReplyDeleteThere is no age for crossing bridges and paths.
ReplyDeletei love walking on foot bridges, so fun to see this.
ReplyDeleteLovely. It looks like an uneven walk, but the more picturesque for it.
ReplyDeletei love footbridges like this one. it feels like an adventure crossing one.:p
ReplyDeleteI love seeing these, but am not a particular fan when it comes to crossing. Fun photo to see.
ReplyDeleteCiao Francisca, a bridge over the river surrounded by nature is a wonderful sight to see!
ReplyDeleteA great photo :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable picture dear Francisca!
ReplyDeleteThe little boy is cute!
Have a nice Sunday
Léia ;)
I love this shot - beautiful bridde and the kid is so cute:)
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!
What strikes me is the boy has bright, friendly clothes, but he seems to have no shoes? I worry about splinters. Ah, the mommy in me.
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice photo. Ahh, so green. I miss that about Asia.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. Beautiful bridge and surrounds! Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteWonderful blog. I enjoyed several of your posts. Really like the Mongolian throat singing. thanks for the link
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice one! It looks so lush and tropical.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot and we love the object lesson in your title and in you photo. We do all walk the same narrow path, don't we?
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth : )
They both look so confident crossing this wobbly bridge.
ReplyDeleteHi Francisca
ReplyDeleteLots of camera questions. Sigh.
Could you send me an email? I know you're very busy but I'd really appreciate it.

Hi Francisca. Cute photo. This bridge wouldn't bother me at all. But the flooring is similar to the Royal Gorge bridge...planks laid across with big gaps between. The dogs' legs sometimes went down into the cracks. That was scary!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your comments today!
Re your Cedar Key question: No, that's not me going fishing. Probably a Cedar Key local.
Me again! I know you don't want to talk politics. That's probably a good thing on a photo blog. Send me an email, though, and I'll tell you hair-raising stuff about the teapot crackpots over here!
ReplyDeleteOne more time! Re the Royal Gorge...that first shot was taken by Lois Anne on the other side of the bridge...
ReplyDeleteThe house on the hill in Colorado does have access to electricity, I believe. Some folks living on the mountain don't use that access, though, and use solar setups.
I'm sure you could get a great big freezer up there...which you would need if you lived there during the winter, 'cause there might be times when you wouldn't get out for weeks on end.
Hey Francisca,
ReplyDeleteThat was my husband and my son, and I was too far at the back where you can't see me. LOL
My husband likes to jump up and down and may the bridge sway.
Nice photo. I haven't been to Dapitan yet. The palm trees remind me of my place in the Phils.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm such a chicken when it comes to crossing moving bridges!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful image of a picturesque bridge.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this yet in Dapitan. Oh, this interesting spot to experience.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I followed you in google connect. Hope you do the same. Thanks!
Just look at that background! My kind of place.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful shot. I love this one! You captured it so well. Thanks for stopping by and paying me a visit. Greetings from soon-to-be-rainy NorCal.
