The poorest 40 percent among us accounts for 5 percent
of global income. The richest 20 percent accounts for three-quarters of
world income.
Less than one per cent of what the world spent every year on weapons was
needed to put every child into school by the year 2000 and yet it
didn’t happen.
When will we ever learn? When do we start to share? Help!

Help comes in differnt forms... But its worthless to wait for the govt to change... Thats why there is hundreds of NGO organisations to help... But how many of us are really up to ask for Help???
ReplyDeleteLast night I was listening to the staggering statistics of Haiti revisited six months after the quake. Not much has happened. This photo is riveting and unsettling, as it should be.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is so frustrating when governments do get involved - they often stymie all those good efforts by adding their own agenda.

Nothing has changed since the beginning of time. I just finished reading two articles on inequality in the U.S. All the evidence points to the rich getting richer, the decline of the middle class and the poor getting screwed!

nice take on the theme...hard to argue with statistics but all it really takes is to look around, there are so many that could use some HELP...nicely played. happy tt!
